What we collect
Your email address, and the answers you give when you build a trip: region, dates, who is coming, the vibe you are after. That is the whole list. No account, no password, no profile beyond what your trips need.
What it is for
Your email is your key: it is where your trip link is sent, how your trips stay findable at your trips, and how a paid unlock or membership is matched to you. Your trip answers exist to build your trip. We do not sell your information to anyone, and we do not run ads.
Payments
Payments run through Stripe. Your card number goes to Stripe, never to us; we only learn that a payment happened, so we can unlock what you paid for. You can manage or cancel an annual membership any time from your trips once you are signed in.
Who does the plumbing
Trips and emails live with Supabase (database) and Resend (email delivery). The site runs on Vercel, whose analytics tell us which pages get visited without tracking you across the web. Each of these processes your data only to run this product.
Your choices
Want your email and trips gone, or a copy of what we hold? Email hello@thehiddencalifornia.com from the address you used and a human will handle it, usually within a few days. Marketing email always has an unsubscribe link; trip delivery email only ever arrives because you asked for a trip.
